Shermans Travel cited the mini-moon trend as a sign that couples who are usually “too busy” to vacation are still managing to sneak away. 30% of just-married couples plan to go away for a few days in the next 12 months, citing work and family as two reasons that they couldn't plan a traditional one-week honeymoon break. “The survey confirmed that most newlyweds will take a several day mini-moon rather than not taking a honeymoon at all,” said one expert interviewed by the press, Martin Slagter.
